This 80 min project helps students to explore storytelling in AR (Augmented Reality). You can use this workshop exercise working with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro (or Adobe Audition) to create an mp3 and Adobe Aero. Adobe Aero is available for iOS and some Android devices. Shall you not have access to Adobe Aero on your smartphone you can also use the desktop Adobe Aero Software. A basic knowledge of Photoshop is required.
This studio class explores storytelling and helps students to create a short audio-visual narrative using about seven layers of images created and composed in Photoshop, which will be exported through the Creative Cloud to Adobe Aero. In Adobe Aero student will add music or voice over saved as MP3 to their images.
Because Adobe Aero enables AR (Augmented Reality), this studio practice empowers students to explore storytelling beyond the screen. The final AR composition will be shared via QR code (see above) and can be placed anywhere in the world. Any iOS and Android user can access the AR story via Adobe Aero. The QR code will generate a free download of Adobe Aero. Students will engage in technological, information and critical literacies. Students will refine their storytelling skills and adopt these to creating an immersive experience.

Creative and professional writers are required to store drafts of their work in an organised and structured way. Writers are often called upon to share work in development within Media and Communication environments and, in this way, the Spark Creative Writing Folio and the Spark Presentation forms an authentic assessment task. A writer who can showcase their work in progress to a potential publisher, cross-disciplinary collaborator, or other stakeholder, increases their opportunities for publication and gainful employment. The ability to showcase writing projects in progress involves skills that are directly transferable to workplace environments where individual and team accountability is expected.
